Well, we’ve had to be tight-lipped about this for quite a while now, but we are absolutely thrilled to announce that Out of Picture, Volumes 1 and 2 will be published by Villard, an imprint of Random House! This is the same group that has done such a beautiful job with the Flight anthology since acquiring it from Image Comics. Our editor, Tim Mak, and his crew put a lot of love into their books, and we’re thrilled to be working with them. This is going to give us the opportunity be a lot more involved in the production of the books and resolve the distribution challenges we faced the first time out of the gate.

The Villard edition will be a large format soft-cover book with cover flaps. We’ve also added a very meaty new gallery section full of a lot of the concept art shown at Galerie Arludik plus a lot more.

Out of Picture, Volume 1 will be re-published for the 2007 holiday season, and Volume 2 is expected to hit the streets in early 2008.

This also means that the hard-cover edition of OOP is officially out of print. So, if you want to purchase a copy and can’t find it at your local comic shop, contact us as we will have them on sale. As of this posting, Bud Plant and Stuart Ng still have copies available. We’ll also have copies available for sale at MOCCA and San Diego Comic Con.
